THE STORIES BEHIND THE ALBUM’S SONGS
ABOUT MY SONGS
I have been asked many times about the stories behind my songs. This is when I decided that it would be a good idea to share some general information about how I  ‘’generate’’ my songs and what is really behind the lyrics. Below you will find information about every song separately from the album Life is Unfair.
Every song has a different ‘’depth’’ level and purpose. I am not afraid to talk openly about my life in many senses, so I am going to tell you exactly what the songs are about. Sometimes it takes me several days to write the songs, and sometimes I write them in 10-15 minutes. I could split my songs into quite a lot of groups:

  • Autobiographical – These songs are based on real stories from my life, the way they happened.
  • Songs related to my life – When I talk about some situations metaphorically, they might not have happened the way they were written, but the content is related. There are at least one or more phrases related to a precise situation in the past.
  • Songs related to spiritual growth – Spiritual growth is a very important part of my life. There are things that need to be said to people; some I say directly, but some I hide in the text. I use some phrases in a figurative sense.
  • Soundtracks – Songs in any theme that could be used for TV-shows or movies.
  • Just songs – Songs in Russian and in English; they could be used by other singers, and could be about anything.

ABOUT KRISTEN’S SONGS
Kristen: I’m ecstatic to be a part of Anastasija’s album and for one of my songs to be included. I’ve been playing and writing music since I was little, and each song has related to my personal life somehow. I enjoy writing about current issues as well as the differences in humanity that bring us together. I try to put these thoughts together in a somewhat vague or poetic way, so that the meaning can be interpreted in different ways. I generally write a song in less than an hour and then come back to it days (or months) later to edit the lyrics into something I’m happy with.
